“Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and to break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?”
What We Do and Why: Saint Pat’s is working both to build relationships with those in our community experiencing homelessness through our Warming Hut and also to effectively end chronic homelessness through Weld’s Way Home. At Warming Hut we serve breakfast each Sunday to anyone who needs a warm meal. Through Weld’s Way Home we support the Cold Weather Shelter and work to provide permanent supportive housing for those who live on our streets.
- How to Help:
- Volunteer to bring breakfast one Sunday for Warming Hut
- Donate gloves, socks and underwear each Sunday this month
- Organize your Small Group to take a meal to the Cold Weather Shelter
