“When the ear heard, it called me blessed, and when the eye saw, it approved, because I delivered the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to help him.”
What We Do and Why: It is estimated that 140 million children worldwide are orphans. Over 100,000 foster children in the U.S. are eligible and waiting to be adopted. And currently there are not enough foster parents in Weld County. Not everyone at St Pat’s is called to be a foster parent or adopt a child, but we want to continually bring attention to the incredible need that exists. This year St Pat’s is working with other congregations of the Weld Faith Partnership (WFP) to help support 35 foster and adoptive families by providing education, friendship, and practical help through the Finally Home Family Strengthening Event.
