Open Window 2019

Each year the season of Lent invites us to walk in the rhythms of grace with Christ and others as expressed through repentance, celebration, anticipation, and hope.

Open Window is a 40-day communal engagement of this invitation through the study and practice of the core contemplative traditions of silence, solitude, and prayer in ways that integrate into the complex realities of everyday life. It is a grace-centered approach that says “yes" to God’s invitation to intimacy with him by intentionally creating margins in our lives that, as George MacDonald writes, “opens windows to God’s wind.” Participants engage daily practices, and gather weekly on Sunday evenings to share table fellowship, worship, and mutual encouragement.
